Getting into comic books can be a very daunting task, especially if the particular character you are interested in has fifty plus years of continuity. As one of the world's most popular superheroes, Spider-Man is getting a lot of attention these days and more and more fans are trying to get into the medium that gave birth to everyone's favorite wall-crawler: comic books. Spider-Man is a character that has almost sixty years of history! How can a new fan realistically gain a solid foundation of Spider-Man continuity without going back and ready hundreds of issues of continuity (not to mention spending exorbitant amounts of money). In this week's episode, we go over the absolute essential Spider-Man stories that fans should read, in order to get a solid foundation of what makes Spidey one of the most popular superheroes of all time! It has been 10 years since the DC New 52 shook the comic book world by relaunching its entire universe of characters including some that have been publishing ongoing since the 1940s. Comic book readers and collectors were in a frenzy over this new initiative, however it got old real fast. Many books were subject to cancellation after just a few short months. Looking back on the new 52, some comic fans think "good riddance" but others are  looking back on the initiative with nostalgia. What do you think about the DC 52? Failure or Success?
