Girls Without Degrees

By: Madi & Rosie
  • Summary

  • Navigating life, work and just everything in general as young women.

For years, we have wanted to create a space to talk about the pros and cons of having a degree in the workforce, why it's ok that studying is not for everyone and open the discussion that career success is possible for those with AND without a degree.

And, we have a good laugh along the way. So grab a coffee, or a gin and join the conversation, we're super grateful for it x

    Lots of love,

    Rosie & Madi x

  • What happens when we outgrow something? Even if we really love it....
    Nov 21 2024

Madi, who recently suggested we re-name this podcast "Madi and friend", had suggested we title this episode "I have spent so long editing this I can't remember what it's about".

    Yeah, it's been a week - but she's a trooper.

What are we actually talking about this week?

Outgrowing shit and being too comfortable; it's something we all go through, whether we realise it or not.

If you take one thing from this, let it be this - be the groceries, don't be the sofa.

(No one needs to highlight how often we said this)

We'd love to hear your thoughts on this topic, let us know!

    Love

    R & M

Pls don't forget to rate, write a review and share with pals - it helps people find us and we would be very grateful.

As mentioned in Madi's earlier title suggestion, we had a few technical issues and it was a bit of a nightmare for her to edit, which means in places the audio might not be quite what we want it to be - but it's all a learning.

  • Under Pressure
    Nov 7 2024

We all feel that crushing pressure right? right?...

The fun truth is a lot of that pressure is coming directly from us - well, in the case of Madi and Rosie it is.

Pressure can sometimes be a very good thing, but apply too much and you are sure to probably break.

And that pressure that you feel going to uni, or in our case (and maybe yours), not going to uni. Let's talk about that!

We'd love to know if you felt this pressure to go to uni and if you felt like you were maybe a bit less of something for not doing it.

    Let us know!

AND FUN FACT - Rosie needs to stop saying "Like" and Madi needs to stop saying "Yeah"

    Love

    R & M

P.s. We'd be suuuuper grateful if you could subscribe and give us a rating or review - and tell your pals! It helps other listeners find us and we would really appreciate it!

  • The lost accountability episode (sort of)
    Oct 30 2024

Do you all remember when Rosie and Madi sat down sometime in the last 12 months to record an episode about accountability? Well, you probably won't, because we never actually released it.

Yes, we very much understand the irony of this.

We are just two girls, trying to be better at holding ourselves (and others) accountable for our own actions... Safe to say, it's a work in progress.

As you will hear, this is not the lost episode, this is the re-record but the main thing is that we did and we released it! Go us!

A big big thank you and shout out to Madi who kept to her accountability goal and edited this podcast on the day we recorded it. She is our icon.

If you have any tips for holding yourself accountable, we'd love to hear them!

    As always, love

    R & M

P.s. We would be super duper grateful if you could please leave us a rating or review, it helps others find us - and tell your friends to listen to us yap, we would really love that - thank you!
