• De-Extinction Techniques Should Be a New Tool in the Conservationist's Toolbox w/ Isaiah Menning || EP 1567
    Jun 8 2025
Isaiah Menning, of the American Conservation Coalition, joins Josh to discuss how de-extinction techniques, like the ones recently used to resurrect the dire wolf, should be viewed as a new tool in the conservationist's toolbox. They should not be feared or fought by conservationists or environmental groups. Instead, they should be embraced and used to assist species on the endangered list to not only survive but thrive, once again. • Kwik Trip 50K & Band of Runners w/ Jon Krist, Ryan Yedlinsky, and Jessica Warren || EP 1560
    May 26 2025
Representatives from the Kwik Trip 50k, and the Band of Runners organization joined Josh to discuss how they are working together to support veterans and gold star families. The Kwik Trip 50K is a run in Wisconsin that was started by Josh, Jon and a small group of running friends. It started as a goofy idea that grew into a way to raise money for an awesome organization. That organization is, Band of Runners. They bring veterans and gold star families to a trail running camp to introduce them to trail running, and the trail running community. They teach them all about the therapeutic properties of running through nature and also help provide them with a sense of community that they may have lost after their time in the service. It's a small organization that is making a huge impact.
