The solution to the fear of people is not found in ourselves, but in turning ourselves over to the Lord and to his care. By trusting in the Lord, the fear of man loses its grip on our hearts and becomes less directive of our steps. Today, may we grow in faith and become less fearful of others.

Anger is a powerful emotion. We need to hear and heed the wisdom of God about the presence of anger in our hearts and its expression in our lives. We have the Lord himself to look to for this wisdom. He dealt with his own righteous anger toward sin in the death of his Son, which expressed the depth of his love for us. May his love replace our sinful anger and guide our righteous anger toward redemptive expression.
