    Hey everyone, Welcome to another installment of Harry Potter Theory. Today we’re going to be discussing The Philosopher’s Stone, Hogwarts professor Quirinus Quirrell, Lord Voldemort, and of course- Harry Potter.


    After returning home from his trip, Quirrell didn’t reprise his previous role of Muggle Studies professor; instead, he had been given the coveted position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor—a subject that had been notoriously cursed for years. And although Dumbledore, ever watchful, was wary of Quirrell’s drastic transformation, he lacked concrete evidence and thus permitted the young professor to carry out his duties.

    And the year Quirrell assumed the role of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor coincidentally aligned with Harry Potter’s first year at Hogwarts. Very early on in Harry’s magical adventures, he stops at the Leaky Cauldron with Hagrid, where he has his first encounter with Quirrell—a meeting that, at the time, seemed unremarkable but would later prove to be far more significant.

    Welcome to Harry Potter Theory. Today we’re going to be discussing Veritaserum- an incredibly powerful (and I feel, underutilized) potion that forces individuals to reveal the truth.


    "It is Veritaserum — a Truth Potion so powerful that three drops would have you spilling your innermost secrets for this entire class to hear. Now, the use of this potion is controlled by very strict Ministry guidelines. But unless you watch your step, you might just find that my hand slips — right over your evening pumpkin juice. And then, Potter... then we'll find out whether you've been in my office or not."


    Besides maybe Felix Felicis, Polyjuice Potion and Amortentia- I feel as though Veritaserum AKA ‘Truth’ Serum is one of the most powerful potions in the entire Wizarding World. And given this fact, I can’t help but notice that it’s ludicrously underutilized (at least in the series).

Amazing!

This is my favorite Harry Potter podcast and I think it is truly amazing. I really appreciate that he references the books and not always the movies.

Great Harry Potter Fandom

The structure of this podcast is perfect. It goes deeper into the Harry Potter books opening new theories. It’s also not too long. Amazing for big Harry Potter geeks such as myself

This is an okay podcast but tales from God rice hallow is much better and this podcast is a little bit to short. but keep up the okay work.

Best Podcast. Will recommend!!!

This podcast is the one thing that can occupy my brain. Most podcasts get boring or repetitive or just not interesting enough. This has me captivated just enough to always listen, but distanced enough so that I can do other things as well.

Great podcast it was great for me to listen to it was giving a lot of detail and was one of of my favorite podcast in audible and is great for listen to when I go to sleep better than watching YouTube shoutout the super calvin brothers are better!😀
