New Brunswick is the location for today's destination. St. Andrews By The Sea is a quiet and quaint seaside community near the U.S border in Maine. The small town was the centre of justice, local government and professional services for Charlotte County, including the Fundy Isles. Among the picturesque homes is a a small grassy hill. That is where you’ll find the Charlotte County Gaol Provincial Historic Site. It is adjacent to the white Charlotte County Court House which is a well preserved mid-nineteenth century Maritime courthouse sits a hard granite building with a dark exterior and metal bar windows. The jail on the other hand is a cold and ominous-looking structure meant to keep people in while terrifying all who gaze upon it. It is in stark contrast to what was once the centre of community activities such as elections, fairs, parades, and official visits. It is also where from 1867 to 1957, twenty-six men were executed including Tom Roland Hutchings who it is believed still haunts the cell he once inhabited. East coast kindness and hospitality are just a few of the reasons why people love Halifax. Peggy’s Cove, the Bay of Fundy and Citadel Hill are just a few of the top Nova Scotian tourist destinations filled with mystery and intrigue. But nestled on the corner of Argyle and Carmichael St is one of the port city's most famous restaurants since 1973 and the building has a much longer history. Its walls have been witness to the tragedy of The Titanic and The Halifax Explosion. Which is why it's one of Halifax's most haunted buildings. In the land of the midnight sun, weathered wooden buildings, have been unchanged for over a century. The wooden sidewalks make pedestrians sound like an army of the undead is fast approaching. It's like traveling through time to the dusty trail of the American West. In city that was once known as “The Paris of the North” there's a beautifully vibrant two-story yellow house on Princess Street. It's been the home to creative minds from all over the world, and they've had to share it with many ghostly figures and have had chilling encounters. The Macaulay House is located in Dawson City, and is one of the most haunted buildings in the Yukon. Introductory Episode is Promising!

I've only listened to the introduction of this podcast, as it's brand new and that is currently the only episode available, but already this is so much better than many other ghost story podcasts I've tried! The quality is very good, the host doesn't meander around in small talk, and the presentation doesn't resemble a sixth grade book report! I can't really judge the material yet, of course, which is the only reason I gave the content only four stars, but this far I have very high hopes for Haunted Canada! With sound effects and music, good recording quality, interesting subject matter, and an engaging broadcasting style, this promises to be a gem among ghost and true crime podcasts! I look forward to listening to more!

I like that the stories are true, and happened nearby.

I was eagerly anticipating this series, because I love ghost stories and these happened not too far from where I live. The storytelling is not too lively, though, and I found myself struggling to get through them. I would, possibly, tune in again for the subject matter, but I’m not sure how soon…
