• 1. Who Are Heretics Before God? (1 Kings 11:1-13)
    Nov 4 2022

Today, I would like to address the following question as our main topic: How has collective heresy emerged in the Church of the New Testament?
When we turn to the Old Testament, we see that the people of Israel were able to meet with God through their forefathers of faith. In other words, the Israelites were able to encounter God through His Law that was given through Moses, and through His prophets. And according to the sacrificial system, they could be remitted from their sins through the sacrifices offered in the Tabernacle. Therefore, the love of God and His salvation of the remission of sin, which were manifested through the Tabernacle and its sacrificial system, were very important to them, constituting the indispensable Truth that they infallibly had to believe in and obey in order to attain life and salvation. As such, for the people of Israel, the sacrificial system, manifested in the Tabernacle system and instituted for their just salvation, was as precious as life itself.

  • 2. Who Are Christians That Believe in Jesus within The Framework of Their Own Fleshly Thinking? (1 Kings 12:25-33)
    Nov 4 2022

I read along with you today the Word of God from the First Book of Kings chapter 12 verses 25 through 33. The words of today’s Scripture passage are frequently dealt with as a topic of a sermon that we get to hear often, but in truth, so many Christians do not know very well the spiritual meaning hidden in this Word of God. And so, along with fellow workers at home and abroad, I wish to look into heretics, a wicked group, as shown in today’s Scripture passages.
The outline of the passage we read today is as follows. Originally, a man named Jeroboam wasn’t a member of royalty. Because Solomon had sinned before God, Jeroboam became the king of Israel, and in order to defend his kingship, he made two golden calves and set them up in Bethel and Dan. Then, by telling the people of Israel, “Here are two calves of gold, gods which have guided you,” he had the people of Israel worship the idols, and in doing so, he had turned them into collective heretics.

  • 3. Following the Desires of The Flesh Will Make You Turn into a Heretic Automatically (1 Kings 12:1-18)
    Nov 4 2022

Today’s Scripture passage that we just read records the events that occurred when Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, assumed the throne. Rehoboam was King Solomon’s son by blood. When King Solomon died, the people of Israel came to Shechem to see his son Rehoboam, and made a request to him. At that time, a man called Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, returned from his exile in Egypt and came to see Rehoboam together with the people of Israel.

  • 4. In Which Gospel Do You Now Believe? (1 Kings 13:33-34)
    Nov 4 2022

It’s raining softly. Yesterday, while watching TV, I saw Bill Gates saying in an interview that it’s now possible to implant computer chips in the human body. Until now, chips had been implanted in inanimate objects and animals to keep track of them, but now, it’s possible to implant computer chips deep in the human body. This speaks to the fact that the end times described in Revelation chapter 13 are fast approaching. Previously, chips could be implanted in a limited range of bodily parts, such as the thigh or the back of the hand, but as these chips could easily be removed through a simple surgical procedure, they are now implanted deep in the organs of the human body, so that they may not be removed so easily. According to Bill Gates, this is now more than possible. The people of the world, of course, would be quite excited about this new technology. There are certain conveniences that come with this technology; for instance, if someone is kidnapped, you could track him down and locate him by using GPS via satellites. When I heard this news yesterday morning, I was reminded that the age of Revelation is nearing us faster and faster.

  • 5. Today’s Christians Who Have Replaced God with Mammon Are Idolaters Before God (1 Kings 11:1-13)
    Nov 4 2022

The Bible records that King Solomon took the daughter of Pharaoh to be his wife. Solomon had no less than 700 wives and 300 concubines. As the king of Israel, Solomon should have led His people to God, but far from it, his heart actually ended up leaving God. By letting his heart drift away from God, and worshiping countless foreign idols, Solomon blasphemed his God.

  • 6. How Does God Save Heretics? (1 Kings 19:1-21)
    Nov 4 2022

Elijah (“My God is Jehovah”): A prophet of Israel, born around 9th century BC in Tishbe, Gilead. His ministry left a profound impact not only in his days, but also in the age of the New Testament.
    A. Elijah’s Early Ministry: Elijah was a witness of faith who believed in Jehovah God. During the early reign of King Ahab, when Elijah began ministering actively, Baal worship was widespread under the influence of Queen Jezebel (1 Kings 16:29-33). So the Prophet Elijah declared to King Ahab that Israel would suffer from a severe draught (1 Kings 17:1). This reflected God’s will to make the people of Israel return to Him realizing that Baal, the god of prosperity and rain, was a useless idol.

  • 7. You Must Believe That John the Baptist Is The Representative of All Mankind (Matthew 11:1-19)
    Nov 4 2022

John the Baptist was a servant of God, who lived alone in the wilderness and whose food was locusts and honey. He wore clothes made out of camel’s hair, sleeping and eating in the wilderness. That’s why regarding John the Baptist, Jesus said the following: “Why did you go out into the wilderness? Did you go out to see a reed shaken by the wind? Or a man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses! Didn’t you go out into the wilderness to see John the Baptist? Yes. John the Baptist is the greatest of those born of women. He is greater than all the prophets of the Old Testament.”
Jesus said this because John the Baptist was really the greatest of those born of women. He was raised by God to be the representative of all mankind. In God’s sight, John the Baptist was greater than all the countless judges and prophets of the Old Testament, from Moses to Joshua, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Obadiah, Haggai, and the rest.

  • 8. Seven Types of People Who Will Be Cursed by God (Matthew 23:1-36)
    Nov 4 2022

In Matthew 23:13-28, the Lord spoke about seven types of people who will be cursed by God. It’s very important for all of us to clearly understand what kind of people are cursed by God and be careful, so that we can avoid such curses.
Who is the first type of people on whom God will pour His wrath? Jesus said in Matthew 23:13, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.” The Bible says that God’s curses are brought on those whose faith is like that of the scribes and the Pharisees. These are the ones who pretend to believe in the righteousness of God even though they do not know it. It is such people whose faith is hypocritical that will be cursed by God. The reason why these people have fallen into hypocritical faith is because they do not believe in God’s Word of righteousness as the real Truth of salvation. God will punish hypocrites who do not believe in His righteousness but only pretend to believe.
