    Jan 23 2025
Our guest for this episode of the High Volume Hiring Podcast is Ryan Englin, CEO of Core Matters, which helps employers build systems for filling every open position with quality frontline workers. He's also the host of the Blue Collar Culture Podcast and author of the books, "How to Hire the Ones You Won’t Want to Fire" and "Hire Better People Faster". Our cohosts, Steven Rothberg of College Recruiter job search site and Jeanette Leeds, learn from Ryan how he grew up seeing the struggle that employers experienced in recruiting and then retaining frontline workers. • How can AI be used in an outcomes-based recruiting scenario
    Jan 9 2025
Today's guest on the High Volume Hiring Podcast is James Winfrey, Head of Business Operations for Arya by Leoforce, which pulls candidate data from 80+ ATS/CRM, job boards, and other sourcing channels, to deliver a single, deduplicated list of candidates. Our cohosts, Steven Rothberg of College Recruiter and Jeanette Leeds, talk with James about how AI can empower talent acquisition and recruiting teams. Some TA tech vendors and recruiting teams measure the effectiveness of AI and other systems based on process-related metrics such as reducing the amount of time recruiters spend viewing resumes. James instead advocates for the use of outcomes-based metrics such as reducing the cost of sourcing the desired number of qualified applicants or reducing the time to hire. • Keeping hourly employees despite unattractive workplace policies
    Dec 26 2024
For some organizations, recruitment and retention are on separate islands. One team is responsible for recruiting and then lose visibility so have no idea if the people they helped to hire quit within days or stayed for years. Applicant tracking systems (ATS) like Cadient, however, have a massive amount of data, including the likelihood of a candidate from one source being far more likely to stay for years than a similar candidate from another source. In today's episode, guest Jon Puckett of Cadient and cohosts Steven Rothberg of College Recruiter job search site and Jeanette Leeds make the case that unattractive workplace policies negatively impact retention for all employees, but not equally. Improving those policies will help across the board but looking at retention data by source can also massively help not just with retention, but also with your recruitment strategies.
