  • Fighting the "ME" Culture as a Homemaker
    Oct 21 2024

Why the Home is Worth Fighting For in a Culture of Individualism? In a culture that celebrates rootlessness and individualism, how do we stay the course?

    - "Home is the primary source of culture—what we bring to the world is often shaped by where we come from."
    - Research showing the impact of a stable home environment on mental health, especially for children.
“Without roots, we are left searching for a sense of home in temporary places, when the real thing requires commitment.”
    - "In a world that celebrates moving on, homemaking is about staying—and in that, it preserves what matters most."
    - “Fighting for the home is about protecting a place where relationships can thrive, traditions are honored, and love is nurtured.”
    - “In a culture that celebrates going alone, remember that building a home is one of the most meaningful and courageous acts of all.”

Just YES!

These amazing ladies are delightful and never fail to give me an extra pep to my day and an extra push to go just a little farther into the art of homemaking. Love their amazing friendship and how they make you, as a listener, feel included in that friendship! So many topics they touch on and I've gathered scads of tips and tricks to help throughout my day! Never ever a wasted moment.

Truly a Pleasure

This quirky pair are kind of my favorites. I never quite know what an episode will hold, but I know I will walk away refreshed and ready to get back to my homemaking, in all its mundane glory. Shaye and Angela have introduced me to so many concepts that are now a part of my life, and it’s truly a pleasure to listen in on their conversations.

Heartwarming, hilarious, and wholesome

I have to admit, I’m a guy who likes guy stuff, but when my wife has this podcast on in the background while we work, I find myself truly enjoying it. In fact, when she doesn’t remember to put it on, something feels off!

The women who run it are amazing and I wish they were our friends. Full of great knowledge and wisdom, but are also down in the trenches of life like all of us. It feels honest and real, but uplifting at the same time.

My wife didn’t put me up to this, but I felt like you deserved my review. Cheers from Northern California (a good part ;).

Not into the women's choice of clothing chat.

I want to start off by saying I normally love there episodes and banter. when they discuss things I usually feel like they aren't judging other people decisions. however.

The women shaming in this one was to much. in response to a "scantily clad" women in a bikini their comment made were what are you saving for your husband pubic hair?
like what??? where is the grief for men walking around in what might as well be boxers? what are they saving for their wives?? and they just went on and on and on. If you don't like what someone wears move on. people have different comfort levels and they don't owe you your definition of modesty.

like I said at first normally when they discuss things it's funny and open. but this just felt gross. They could've just said "yeah it was surprising to see and i wouldn't have felt comfortable in something like that." and carried on.
