  • S13E06 - "Let's Go to the Mall!" - Horror Hill
    Jul 25 2025
Malls were made for browsing, for losing track of time beneath fluorescent lights and echoing music. But in this week’s episode of Horror Hill, some places are better left behind—and some corners of the mall were never meant to be found. Join host Erik Peabody as he guides you through two chilling tales from Jason Fischer, whose new collection The Haunting of Towne Point Mall peels back the peeling vinyl and flickering bulbs to reveal something far more sinister behind the storefronts. In one story, a quiet shop owner discovers that some customers don’t just linger—they return. In the other, a forgotten employee in a basement office finds himself tangled in something much older than corporate neglect. Step inside… but be warned: in these stories, the exit signs don’t always lead out. When the lights dim and the rituals begin, what answers your call may not be what you expect. In this double feature of chilling tales, forbidden knowledge and whispered folklore converge to test the limits of obsession, grief, and the thin barrier between worlds. Whether it's a scholar risking everything for a glimpse beyond the veil, or a child daring to reach across the grave, each flickering flame brings something closer. Step into the shadows with us, and discover what waits on the other side of the knock. • S13E04 - "Butchery Taster" - Horror Hill
    Jul 11 2025
When the night is at its hottest, horror finds new ways to chill the blood. This week on Horror Hill, two dark tales simmer beneath the surface of summer, waiting to erupt in violence and dread. In one, a coastal getaway hides a legacy of silence and slaughter. In the other, a late-night emergency broadcast unravels reality itself. Trust no voice. Trust no shape. And when the sky turns red… run. From rising talents Ross Tyson and Traice Mauzey come two stories steeped in suspicion, folklore, and fear—crafted to make you question what you see, and who you think you know. So pour yourself something cold, draw the blinds, and join us. Because on this hill, the butcher’s work is never done. As a recovering addict with over 20 years clean, I cannot express how hard this is to listen to. If you are new in recovery, THIS WILL BE A HUGE RELAPSE TRIGGER!!!! Even after all the years in recovery under my belt, I was very uncomfortable with this one. BUT, it’s also one of the best stories brought to life by Jason Hill! Five stars all around!!!!

Fragile newly sober recovering addicts BEWARE!!!

The stories are very well read. I don’t love the ads but I understand they have to get revenue somewhere and that I could choose to not hear them. And it’s certainly well worth it! I just can’t afford anymore monthly memberships.

A great range from creepy to terrifying monsters.

Amazing voice acting especially by the host (but everyone on here is great). Stories are varied and ever changing genres. I have almost listened to it from season 1-10/11 about three times since I'm a security guard overnights. It's great company on long patrols outdoors in the rain in pitch blackness.

I literally listen to the stories daily. I find them more enjoyable than many other anthology advertised on Horror Hill. If you are into suspenseful short stories to hold your attention then I would recommend following. Well, back to my stories. 😊

I listen to this podcast everyday

Well done Mr Hill... well done. Reminds me of "Burn" by The Cure, Featured in The Crow, starring Brandon Lee
