    Nov 18 2024

    Send us a text

In this episode, we're joined by the incredible Siri Baruc Thornton, a Reiki master, breathwork teacher, and a mother who embodies grace and strength. Together, we'll unravel the complexities of modern motherhood, the pressures of constant self-improvement, and the importance of self-compassion.

We'll discuss the 'Mommy Olympics,' a phenomenon where women often feel pressured to constantly strive for perfection, comparing themselves to unrealistic standards on social media. This toxic culture of self-improvement can lead to burnout, anxiety, and a loss of connection with oneself.

Siri and I share personal stories about the challenges and joys of motherhood, from the physical and emotional demands of childbirth to the ongoing journey of raising children. We'll delve into the importance of healing from birth trauma, the power of community, and the practice of intuitive parenting.

    Takeaways

    • Recognize that the perfect mother is a myth. Embrace imperfection and focus on progress, not perfection.
    • Prioritize self-care and practice self-compassion. Remember, you are enough.
    • Connect with other mothers, share experiences, and build a supportive network.
    • Trust your instincts and respond to your child's needs with love and understanding.
    • Incorporate breathwork into your daily routine to reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Join us as we explore the adventure of motherhood and discover the tools to navigate this beautiful and challenging journey.
