Heartbreaking & Intense Story

My heart aches for the Kesse family, I wish I could hug them all right now, as I wept several times just trying to imagine the pain of not only losing a daughter, but how she was taken always in the back of the family's minds, and the fact that this killer or killers walk free today, probably leaving more devastated families in his/their wake. I have no doubt her killer was among the maintenace staff employed at her complex. It seems to me that the ownership of the complex did quite a bit of CYAing so as not to be liable for what happened to Jennifer, and that is the most disturbing part. The only part that confused me is why the family did not send their own dive team into the lake after their dog team had 2 dogs alert on that location. A lot can happen to a carpet with a body in it, in the murky lake waters of 14 years. The first search yielded nothing, and when the police came back out after the dog team hired by the Kesse's was out there, and their dogs did not hit they just washed their hands of it. The lake was not explored any further. Why didn't the Kesse's bring in their own dive team? Was it private property or something else that legally prevented them from doing so? The eyewitness story sent chills up my spine. I have no doubt there was a body in that carpet. It may not have been Jennifer, but it was a body. Why else would someone throw it in a lake? A regular ole dumpster would have done the trick for disposing of an unwanted rug. Maybe I was distracted during the explanation for this but otherwise I am just left wondering why this didn't happen. I truly hope they recover Jennifer's body at some point, and that the perpetrator is dealt justice here on earth for the Kesse's to witness, but they can be assured that he will face justice at the hand of our Maker in the end.

A fascinating and tragic story

I have followed the Jennifer Keese story for years, always hoping she will be found. I was so interested to hear this podcast. I found it very engaging and full of new information I hadn’t known. Unfortunately, the version on Audible had a recording of the same episode for every “episode,” so I had to listen to it through another provider. If Audible fixes that, I recommend it.
