Each tarantula needs certain care that is adapted to the specific species, therefore, the main thing before building a good accommodation for the animal, is to make sure to which species of tarantula it belongs, since in many cases they tell us that they are selling us a species and in time we discover that it is another.
Once it is assured what type of tarantula it is, the most basic thing can be deduced: its customs as a terrestrial, arboreal or semi-arboreal animal.
However, all tarantulas, regardless of the species they are, need adequate heat and humidity so that they live comfortably and without health problems.
How to get the right heat and humidity
In all cases, the heat will be provided through a heating blanket or cable, which will be placed under the terrarium so that it does not occupy more than 40% of the total surface, on one side or on the back wall vertically. A cold place and a warmer one must always be guaranteed, thus giving the spider the option to choose. We must also have a thermometer at all times to measure the temperature and thus prevent it from being excessively high or low. It is important to know that in the summer season it is not usually necessary to use any heating system.
If we have many tarantulas, the simplest thing is to supply the heat through a radiator or stove, thus we will obtain a suitable temperature for the entire room.
