Stay fluent and expand your Italian whilst exploring interesting and in depth takes on current events
If you’re fluent in Italian (or want to be), and are seeking ways to improve all aspects, this is perfect.
Since moving away from Italy, I have been losing my nimbleness in spite of the many ways I still use it daily. From speaking with friends on the phone and journaling to reading and listening to books. I also watch movies and TV in Italian, as well. All of this is great to stay fluent, yet it was not enough for me.
This is different. This podcast covers current events I’m interested in, that may affect me, and presents a holistic view. In each episode, not only do I discover words I may have forgotten, but new topics I can now intelligently discuss with my friends in Italy.
Books and courses are great for learning languages, but for fluency, one needs to be adept at speaking on current issues.
NOTE: He speaks slowly and enunciates words precisely, which is good. You can speed it up to your liking, without losing quality. I am used to hearing Italian spoken rapidly, so I set playback to 1.7–2.0.
