Immigrants Wake America's Podcast

By: Immigrants Wake America
  • Summary

  • Periodically in history, immigrants have been the target of dehumanizing rhetoric and violence. In response, we have created the podcast Immigrants Wake America, in which guests share their experiences and stories of immigration from diverse perspectives: as immigrants, as descendants of immigrants, or as immigration caseworkers. These episodes allow us to find similarities and differences among ourselves and offer us a space for humanizing dialogue about family, culture, and belonging. Our guests range across generations (ages 18-78) and they and their families come from various corners of the world, such as Albania, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Italy, India, Myanmar, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts, Uganda, Uzbekistan, among others.
