This direct approach not only secured her the role but also set her on a path to becoming a successful BOP small business underwriter. Shardae's career took off from there, with significant milestones at Philadelphia Insurance Company, Chubb, and a return to Liberty Mutual, where she expanded her expertise from tactical underwriting to product management.

She attributes much of her success to her relentless pursuit of knowledge, a value deeply instilled by her father, a former NFL player, who taught her that while careers can be taken away, knowledge is forever.
