Mary Coughlan is a singer, songwriter, author and actress known for her soulful, sultry and bluesy, voice the world over. Her first recording was when she was 29 and has recently released her 17th album 'Life Stories' Here Mary chats with Lar Flynn about her life and speaks candidly about subjects that have shaped her life and career

Born in Dublin, Wally Page is a singer and songwriter whose songs are characterized by articulate lyrics and concise intelligent use of imagery and language. Well traveled and schooled in a myriad of contemporary musical styles from Country, Calypso, Eastern and Rock and his Celtic roots. Wally Page's music covers a wide range of influences. With his articulate, passionate songwriting style and delivery. He writes songs that cover every human condition under the sun, from love to hate, and from peace to war. Songs of love, concern, social comment, and biting satire flow from his lips-each one finely wrought, lyrical, and passionate. His venom is directed at those who have no respect for human life, be they South American dictators or Serbian Militia, while his tender side is seen in his sensitive love songs, like his tribute to Kurt Cobain, "Song for KC" and "When love comes your way".

Wally Page's songs have reached ears all over the universe through recordings by Christy Moore and Eleanor Shanley. He has also penned several songs with Christy Moore including "Johnny Connors" and 'Wise, and Holy Woman'. 'Smoke and Strong Whiskey' 'Soldier Boys' 'Biko Drum', 'All for the Roses' and 'So Do I' have been recorded by Christy Moore. 'This is the Day' the title track from Christy Moore's album takes its name from a line in Wally's song 'So Do I' inspired by the great poet Thomas Hardy.

John Spillane is one of Irelands most prolific songwriters and performers. Often described as a poet, storyteller and dreamer. His songs have been performed around the world by artists such as Christy Moore , Sean Keane and many more, and his live concerts are an experience to behold. We are delighted that John took time to chat with Lar for Irish Music Magazines official podcast and you will hear snippets from some of Johns best known songs. 

Nathan was born on 28th May 1990, growing up in Liverpool. His family originate from Newry in County Down.He soon leaned to play the accordion and trips to Ireland to compete in Fleadh Ceoil’s became a regular feature of young Nathan’s life, and by the age of 12 he won All Ireland medals for singing, and the accordion. Nathan soon became a member of the Liverpool Ceili band, playing accordion and piano, and solo performances soon followed in Liverpool and Ireland.

On a trip to Donegal in 2009, Nathan was appearing in concert in Buncrana, where he met with songwriter John Farry. So impressed was Farry that representation soon followed and the rest, as they say, is history.
