Kishore Mahbubani is the author of Living the Asian Century, a memoir in which he chronicles his own life - from a poor childhood to an illustrious diplomatic career. Kishore Mahbubani has become one of Asia's most widely known commentators with a unique perspective that straddles India, China, and the West.

Kishore served in Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for more than three decades. He was Singapore’s ambassador to the United Nations (UN) and he served as president of the UN Security Council.
