  • Lawsuits accuse 2 NJ gun shops of selling ammo without checking buyers' credentials
    Nov 14 2024
New Jersey's attorney general has filed lawsuits against two gun shops for allegedly selling ammo with no questions asked. One of the stores is Butch’s Gun World in Vineland. AG Matt Platkin says every firearms dealer has an obligation to verify buyers are making a lawful purchase. Platkin says undercover agents were able to buy large quantities of ammo in cash without even showing their ID at these stores. He says New Jersey has made tremendous progress on battling gun violence, reducing shootings by the hundreds, and is one of the safest states to live in. Platkin says he will continue doing everything needed to keep it that way. (Photo credit: New Jersey Office of the Attorney General)
