  • #350:You aren’t alone in your suffering
    Nov 6 2024

    2 Corinthians 1:1-10

In today’s episode, we hear from the Apostle Paul as he writes to the people of Corinth about how God comforts us in our suffering. Paul knew a lot about hard times—he was shipwrecked, beaten, and put in jail! But even in those tough moments, he reminds us that we are never alone, and God is always with us, offering His comfort. We’ll explore what it means to feel comforted by God and how we can share that comfort with others who are going through difficult times.

    Romans 5:1-6.

In today’s episode, we dive into the topic of suffering since some of you have been requesting this. Now, there is A LOT to teach kids about suffering and we are only covering 1 sliver of this so make sure to address any questions they have since we can’t cover it all in 1 episode.

We’ll talk about what suffering is, what the Bible says about it, and how even difficult times can help us grow in our faith. We'll also hear from Paul, who faced many challenges like shipwrecks and imprisonment, and yet, told us why we are to rejoice in our sufferings. Kids will hear how suffering can produce endurance, character, and hope, and hear an encouraging example from nature about wildfires and new growth.

  • KBS hit by Hurricane Helene update!
    Oct 13 2024

We are safe and well but are still without Internet and cell phone. This makes it quite difficult to upload or edit episodes for sound effects, music etc.

This is not our usual episode but I wanted to get this information out to you as well as encourage the kids from what we have learned during the storm. We have seen God show up in beautiful ways and have seen people be the hands and feet of Christ during it. I hope it encourages kids and reminds them of God's goodness and provision even during storms; whether it's a literal or figurative storm in their life.

We appreciate your patience as we await for some of the infrastructure where we live to get up and going. Please pray for those men and women who have been working 15 hour das on the powerlines, fixing the water system, and those helping the community. Please pray for those who lost everything. So many have lost businesses or homes and most don't have flood insurance because this event was such a rare situation.

You can contact me here https://www.kbspodcast.com/ and know I will respond once I am able to get a signal.
