  • Summary

  • We could tell you about our show, but in the words of LeVar Burton, "don't take our word for it!" Here is an actual listener's description of the show: "Think Cher Horowitz meets Dolly Parton... create a love child. Then THAT person meets Bill Kurtis.... and two random girls are the product of that.... that's Tyrella and Tori (sisters and hosts). Smart, weird, pretty, blonde, hilarious, southern, and just really okay with being themselves.... even when it is weird. It made me realize [they] became their role models without even meaning to." • 364: Mafia Cops- Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa
    Mar 11 2025
In the 1980s, NYPD detectives Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa secretly worked for the mafia while on the force, betraying their badge in exchange for cash. Known as the "Mafia Cops," they fed mobsters confidential police information, carried out hits, and even kidnapped targets for crime bosses. Their actions helped fuel organized crime during New York's most chaotic era. For years, their crimes went unnoticed until a string of investigations and key testimonies exposed them. Their story remains a chilling reminder of corruption at its worst. Want access to our first 45 episodes? Grab em here! We've made them available for free to anyone who signs up! • 363: The Strange Murder of Livye Lewis
    Mar 4 2025
Early in the morning of Halloween 2020, a driver called 911 after finding 19-year-old Livye Lewis unresponsive in the driver’s seat of her vehicle on the side of a rural road in Hemphill, Texas. The high school valedictorian was dead from a single gunshot wound to the neck. Her loved ones immediately knew who’d killed her: her ex-boyfriend Matthew Edgar. But Matthew claimed to remember nothing about the night, let alone having murdered his ex-girlfriend, whom he claimed to love. Was he lying, or was someone else responsible for Lyvie’s death? the person who gave this 1 star was on bath salts

I love love love these sisters. no filter and are hilarious, if you don't enjoy them- you're an uncultured swine with zero sense of humor and you need to lay off the pipe, respectfully (:

Hands down my favorite!

Ok so I admit, I have a bit of Podcast A.D.D. I binge for a bit and then almost never go back to it again. Killer Queens is one of the few exceptions to that. I have been listening for over a year now and I’m pretty sure I have listened to every episode including Patreon episodes at least twice.

Anywho, Tori and Tyrella achieve exactly what they set out to do, discuss true crime in a way that feels like a casual conversation with a few friends. I personally am not a fan of shows that are overly scripted, down to the last little gasp of horror.

Despite the witty banter and southern sass these ladies bring, the content is informative and the victims are ALWAYS discussed in a respectful manner.

While this podcast is probably not for everyone, if you like true crime, anything from the 90’s, or listening to people try (and fail) pronouncing names, give this a try, you won’t be disappointed! 💕

LYLAS!

An absolute gem!!!!

I adore this podcast and these girls! They are able to walk that fine line of respectfully telling the stories of crime victims while also being entertaining. The flow is more conversational which I enjoy; the vibe is that of hanging out with your friends discussing true crime. They are real, relatable, and funny as hell. 10/10 for sure!!

not my cup of tea

The hostess are definitely young and playful, which is not a bad thing just not my cup of tea. It took some time to get to the point of the story and they seemed to get off track a lot.

Meh…

I was recommended this podcast in a fan group for Morbid. One thing I love about Morbid and another female duo true crime podcast, Crime Junkie is that they have a healthy skepticism of police investigations. I couldn’t get through one episode of this podcast without feeling like to these girls, the police can do no wrong. It’s nothing personal, I’m sure they’ve gotten better, but acting as if police have the hardest job in solving these crimes is irritating. They’re paid 6X more than most teachers and deal with half the bullshit. Sometimes they screw up. I think skepticism of police goes hand in hand with being a true crime junkie. They don’t always do their best work. Maybe I’ll give a listen to more recent episodes to update this review in the future.
