  • L'Chaim - To Life S12 E11 (16-04-2025) with Elton John, Michael Kroger, David Vader, Amelia Hamer, Jude Perl, Gareth Narunsky and Sharon Kuper
    Apr 16 2025
The program is replayed Fridays between 2PM and 3PM on Melbourne’s 3ZZZ 92.3FM Title: Elton John – Border Song (*from 0:23 mins) Description: Sung by Elton John, with music by John and lyrics by Bernie Taupin. The song initially appeared on the 1970 album Elton John. Title: Michael Kroger – Don’t believe the lies, just put the Greens last (*from 5:13 mins) Description: Maurice Klein speaks with Michael Kroger, past-President of the Victorian Liberal Party for many years and is a prominent businessman, about his critical article in the Australian Jewish News, “Macnamara Voters Deserve Better Than A Scare Campaign”, that Josh Burns and Labor have initiated with a very deceptive false letterbox flyer on how to vote in Macnamara. The distinctive blue Liberal look-alike flyer attempts to convince the Macnamara voters that Liberal candidate Benson Saulo absolutely cannot win the seat and that the only way to prevent the divisive, hateful Greens from winning is to vote for Josh Burns. Revisiting the Macnamara voting stats for the last election and with Labor very much on the nose in Victoria, Michael Kroger dissects the current polling trends that show Benson Saulo clawing back the previous sizeable swing against the Liberals in the electorate with the likelihood of finishing with 40% of the first preferences, and Josh Burns with about 26-27% of the first preferences finishing 3rd and out of the running. Michael explains that the outcome is then very much dependent on who the Josh Burns voters preference as [2], and that if Burns was genuinely concerned about the Greens being successful in Macnamara, then Burns should have directed his [2] preference to go to his Liberal opponent and for the Greens to be put last. Alas, Josh Burns has chosen a gutless way out that has the potential for an ugly outcome in Macnamara. Michael provides us with his opinion on the recent social influencers "Pay for Favor" promotion of politicians that should have full disclosure and that the ACCC should review and amend all the laws to ensure “truth in political advertising”. We also hear about Michael's everlasting visit to Israel in January 2024, with some heartbreaking advice for everyone! Michael Kroger, TOTAL MENSCH! Title: KAN English News Flash – April 16, 2025 at 2PM IST (*from 22:45 mins) The latest English language radio news bulletin from KAN, the Israeli Broadcasting Service. Title: Australia Chooses 2025 – Kooyong Candidates’ Virtual Roundtable (*from 30:52 mins) Description: Maurice Klein speaks with Kooyong Candidates David Vader (Trumpet of Patriots) and Amelia Hamer (Liberal). Please note that all the candidates in Kooyong were given the opportunity to participate and let their constituents know where they stand, but the others decided not to take part by production time. Title: Jude Perl – Trying To Finish A Sentence (*from 46:44 mins) Description: Morry Frenkel speaks with Jude Perl, the multi-award-winning singer, songwriter and comedian, who is currently appearing at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in her show, “Jude Perl Tries To Finish A Sentence”. Jude talks about writing songs and comedy, the range of audience reactions to her comedy routines and her emotional responses to them, and provides a few clues to what audiences can expect from her Melbourne International Comedy Festival show. Dr Allen is adamant that Australia is facing many crises that only a change to a Peter Dutton conservative government with absolute moral clarity and the right policies will bring about the necessary changes to ensure a positive future for Australia. Peter Dutton is a friend of Israel and would act totally differently to tackle all the Jew hate antisemitism. Dr Katie Allen is a true close friend of the Jewish community and Israel.
