Les travaux d'Edwin Hubble sur l'expansion de l'Univers apportent de l'eau à son moulin. Une trentaine d'années seront nécessaires pour que sa thèse soit enfin acceptée. Avec le recul, on s'aperçoit aujourd'hui de l'intuition et de la perspicacité incroyables de cet homme qui aura, toute sa vie, tenu tête à Einstein, avec raison.
