  • Introduction
    Oct 11 2021

So, you’re cruising on some smooth open interstate. Bags packed in back, GPS programmed with all necessary stops, music going strong, not a worry in sight. Good thing you’re alone though, your playlist makes you look insane. It has more diversity than an Edward Jones investment portfolio. Thank your Dad and Uncle Bill for that. A ding comes from the speakers, making your body stiffen with fear and eyes dart to the navigation screen. Luckily, it’s only a low fuel warning. Right on schedule, your body needs a recharge as well.

You’re back on the interstate when an unexpected delay brings your smooth ride to a slow creep. The GPS gives you a few alternate routes, to which you don’t hesitate choosing the city route around the delay. After what seems like an eternity of overwhelming city streets, feeling stuck in a rut, unable to move forward, and wondering how the hell did I get here. I should have stayed on the interstate. You think as you pull over for a break.

During the pitstop you gather your thoughts and stretch your legs. You turn the GPS off, deciding it has caused enough problems and grab an old school paper map, thinking without sidetracking notifications, combined with a quiet country road will get you back on course.

With your new found confidence and energy, windows down, fresh air, and a good podcast. The feeling of invincibility kicks in as you start the next leg of your journey. It is short lived. This route has more twists and turns than a 1950s sock hop. Your ability to see the road ahead fades with the setting sun. One thing playing in your mind. Will this ever end?

Smooth, overwhelming, twists and turns. Like the roads we travel everyday, we all get lost at times. No matter the type of road we are on, with a little patience, and guidance from those who care for us. We will make it through, one way or another.

With a comedy aspect, we listen to stories of people and the roads they have traveled to get where they are now. We will definitely laugh. Throw in a splash of tears, or beers. Whichever seems to fit. Welcome to, Life Story Road Podcast.
