Jimmy Butler scored 13 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter, and Tyler Herro scored 22- hitting five 3-pointers- to lead the Heat past the Charlotte Hornets 114-106 for their 1st win of the season.

Terry Rozier added 19 points, and Bam Adebayo had 12 points and 11 rebounds for Miami. (1-1)

Butler added eight assists and eight rebounds for the Heat after scoring just three points in Miami’s season-opening home loss to Orlando.

LaMelo Ball put up 27 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Hornets.

Miami’s pressure defense forced the Hornets (1-2) into 20 turnovers.

After struggling in their season opener, the Heat put things together down the stretch, with Butler, Herro and Duncan Robinson hitting big 3s late.

The Heat host Detroit on Monday night.
