New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr's return from an oblique injury is a pivotal moment for the Saints as they gear up to face the Carolina Panthers. With a six-game losing streak looming large, Carr's performance is crucial in steering the team back on course. Or at least keeping them moving forward on what's left of it.

The Saints are also contending with significant injuries, particularly in their secondary, where Marshon Lattimore's potential absence could alter their defensive strategy. Regardless, the Saints are must secure a much-needed win against the Panthers, though overcoming a 1-7 team is far from proving that the Saints are back to being contenders.

The New Orleans Saints are at a crossroads, with potential head coaching changes on the horizon. Could Ben Johnson or Brian Flores be the next to lead the team? The New Orleans Saints' 2024 season isn't over, but the team clearly needs a change. Whether it happens in-season or after this year, barring an unforeseeable turnaround, Dennis Allen and the Saints feel likely to part ways. The New Orleans Saints are in trouble. A QB change from Spencer Rattler to Jake Haener shows you the desperation the team is now experiencing. Not because of Haener himself, but because it shows the drastic measures the team is having to go to to stay try and afloat. 6-straight losses since a 2-0 electrifying start and this Saints team has no room left for error.

The Saints' defense did what it could, but explosive plays by Justin Herbert and Ladd McConkey were a major difference-maker in this one. Derek Carr may be back next week. But a win over the Carolina Panthers is far from prove-it territory for the Saints and certainly won't be enough to turn their season's new outlook around.

The New Orleans Saints are getting several key pieces back around Spencer Rattler: Chris Olave, Cesar Ruiz, Taysom Hill, and Lucas Patrick. Meanwhile the defense is set to return Pete Werner and Khalen Saunders. But is health alone enough to get back in the win column?
