Welcome the very first episode of the Catholic Café Book Club Podcast, on this show we review and discus different faith enriching books. One new book each month. 12 Books year. I’m your host, Ana Perez. Owner of Lorica Bookstore and Bookworm.
Each Friday morning I’ll post a new episode discussing whatever book we’ll be reading that month.
This month we’ll be reading, Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary.
The way the podcast schedule will work, is
week 1 of the month we’ll be discussing what book we’ll be reading and the author.
Week 2 of the month, we’ll be discussing Chapter 1 in detail
Week 3, we’ll have read through half the book and discuss the first half, so we can take a deep dive into themes, characters, plots, and so on without revealing spoilers.
Week 4 – is spoiler week, hopefully by then we’ll have finished reading the book and we can do an overview of the whole book.
(If there is an extra week on the calendar, we’ll do a Q&A)
Moving on to our reading schedule for the fall and winter of this year,
On October - we’ll be reading Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary by Brant Pitre
November – we’ll be reading Who Am I to Judge? By Edward Sri
December – We’ll be Reading Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Civilization of Love by Carl Anderson & Eduardo Chavez
And in January 2023, we’ll be reading I Believe in Love: A Personal Retreat Based on the Teaching of St. Thérèse of Lisieux by Father Jean d”Elbee
