She shares shocking stories about letting a hyena eat a piece of meat right out of her mouth, gorilla trekking in Uganda, swimming with sharks in South Africa, seeing the pyramids in Sudan, and sleeping in a kind woman’s bed when the hotels in town were full. The Danish live by “hygge”, which is a lifestyle of contentment and conviviality that comes from doing simple things with people you love. The city is full of parks to relax in and enjoy a coffee and a Danish pastry, but is also bustling with bicycling, eating, and shopping. Copenhagen even allows for an easy day trip to Sweden if you are looking for even more to do.
