There are so many amazing local businesses to choose from, but we've narrowed it down to 21 that you need to know in 2021.

    For our first spotlight we wanted to feature something that brings joy to all of us. Desserts, typically bring us joy, and this dessert has some winning history behind it. Cheesecake was said to have been served to athletes at the first Olympic Games in 776 B.C. to give them energy. While I'm less of an athlete these days, I'm still an avid foodie, meaning I love to EAT! We chat with Anna Afamasieva, owner of Laika Cheesecake and Espresso (#21) in Alamo Heights.
