About this listen
Michael Castro's journey is one of relentless evolution and unwavering dedication. In 1998, he began his career by joining the ranks of the U.S. Army, serving in the intelligence field with distinction. During his time in service, Michael deployed twice—once to Afghanistan and once to Iraq—developing a sharp eye for detail, strategy, and resilience under pressure.
After completing his military service in 2005, he channeled his discipline and focus into the world of professional fighting, competing at the highest levels until his retirement in 2013. Seeking new challenges, Michael pursued higher education and, upon graduating college in 2016, transitioned into the tech and creative industries as a full-time Website Developer. This move marked the launch of D3SIGNfly Studios, his digital design and marketing company.
With a deep passion for visual communication and a natural creative instinct, Michael quickly made a name for himself in the graphic design world, working with some of the largest and most recognizable brands and corporations across the globe. His work spans everything from high-impact digital campaigns to bold, large-format visuals and brand identity systems.
In 2022, he expanded his vision with the creation of DANGER DESIGNS, a bold new venture under the D3SIGNfly umbrella. The company has since grown into a national brand, operating Large Format Print Warehouses in Philadelphia (PA), Houston (TX), and Los Angeles (CA), along with Print Brokerage Houses in Hebron (KY), Dallas (TX), and Burbank (CA).
Never one to stay still, Michael co-founded Ghosted Magazine in 2023—a publication dedicated to the world of the paranormal and the unexplained. And in 2025, he returned to a longtime passion: photography. Picking the camera back up, he began focusing on creative storytelling through visuals.
Currently, Michael is enrolled at Rowan University, furthering his education in photography, and shares a photography studio space in Mount Holly, New Jersey, where he continues to push creative boundaries and bring bold visions to life.
