  • Ep 4. Modern B&W: The Lighthouse & A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night
    Nov 7 2024

HAAAARK! This week we’re spilling our beans about two great modern black-and-white movies.

First we discuss The Lighthouse. A spellbinding masterpiece that transports you to a hellish 1890’s lighthouse off the coast of Maine. With farts.

Then we talk about Ana Lily Amirpour’s Iranian vampire-western, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. A partially crowdfunded indie flick that also uses black and white cinematography to transport you to an otherworldly reality.

P.S. we recorded this before the very disappointing election on Tuesday. Maybe our enthusiasm for movies can be a nice distraction for someone out there.
