  • 28: The Disappearance of Delimar Vera
    May 19 2025
On December 15, 1997, ten-day-old Delimar Vera died in a tragic housefire when her homecaught fire unexpectedly. After a brief investigation, identified the cause of the fire and deemed the baby’s death an accident and further claimed that the girl’s remains had been completely destroyed in the blaze. Her mother was skeptical of their explanation and struggled to accept her daughter’s death.
Six years after the fire, Luz was at a party where she ran into Pedro’s cousin, whom she hadn’t seen in several years. The woman, Carolyn Correa, had with her a little girl named Aaliyah, whom she claimed was her daughter, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that Aaliyah was in fact her own supposedly dead daughter, Delimar.

This week Carrie covers the Delimar Vera story and tells us of an unexpected tale that no parent ever imagines happening to them.

  • 27: The Grimes Sisters
    May 12 2025
In this gripping episode, Carrie delves into the mysterious and chilling case of the Grime Sisters.

On December 28, 1956 Barbara Grimes and her younger sister Patricia Grimes left their home in Chicago, Illinois to see a movie in Brighton Park to never return home. Three week later their bodies were discovered on the side of a rural road in Willow Springs, about an hour outside of Chicago.

The murder of the Grimes sisters and the investigation that followed remains one of Chicagos most notorious cold cases, one of the most costly and labor-intensive searches in Illinois history.

In the end we are all still left with one question…Who abducted and then murdered the Grimes sisters?
