  • The Mystery of the Magi and the Star of Bethlehem with Shawn Bolz
    Dec 22 2020

In this episode of Mysteries of the Messiah with Rabbi Jason Sobel, we explore one of the most blatant errors in the nativity scenes that decorate our homes and churches: the presence of the magi at the manger with the infant Jesus. Who were these mysterious people? When did they arrive in Bethlehem, and how would they even know to look for this baby King? @ShawnBolz joins us in discussing Christmas, modern prophetic, the star, and our time together in Israel. Some moments in time (like a journey to Israel) do more than inform your understanding, they transform your perspective. https://bolzministries.com/

  • The Mystery of Chanukah and Yeshua with Rabbi Jason Sobel
    Dec 15 2020

Everybody loves a good origin story, and in this episode, Rabbi Jason Sobel describes Chanukah's origin (Hanukkah). We can sum up the essence of this Jewish holiday in two words: fighting and lighting. This celebration restores our hope, faith, and trust that our God is true to His word!

The light of Chanukah points to the light of Yeshua-Jesus the Messiah. Yeshua's light lives in you. You are the light. Have Courage and be strengthened, He is with you!

Did you know that while Jesus never celebrated Christmas, He did celebrate Chanukah? Did you know that every significant event in Jesus’ life occurred on a Jewish holiday? Perhaps it would be helpful for us to think of these holidays not so much as Jewish, but God’s. These are God’s appointed times and, consequently, are relevant to all of God’s people. An examination of the origins of Chanukah will build your faith and spark a light in your soul that will shine brightly in a darkened world.

  • The Mystery and Meaning of Bethlehem with Pastor Chad Veach
    Dec 8 2020

O Little Town of Bethlehem is a beloved Christmas carol. The description as “little” seems apt, as even the Prophet referred to it as the least among the clans of Judah (Mic 5:1 TLV). What we discover upon closer examination, however, is that this small village is overflowing with significance. Its very name speaks to the human soul’s deepest needs. It brings a sense of calling and possibility to us as we approach the holiday season.

Pastor Chad Veach of ZOE Church Los Angeles  joins Rabbi Jason Sobel in talking about Israel and its indelible impact on his life and how it has transcended to impacting thousands of lives through his church.

King Jesus from the Gaze of a modern Jew who bares fruit of Love and Joy

My meager wording will not do owed justice to what this podcast offers ... which is watering and elevating a Believer’s spirit. However, I’ll tell you this....you will NOT be bored or disappointed learning about Hanukkah / Festival of Lights from “The Rapping Rabbi “ when he drops a couple of bars ! This will forever be a classic in my book because it edifies Truth and purpose from the Jewish gaze without compromise while entertaining. My prayer is that someone will immortalize this rabbi’s story telling techniques with a holiday toy / stuffed rapping/ poetic rabbi doll as they did with Mensch on a Bench! Thank you Lord for moving on the heart( s) to make this happen. Amen. I truly enjoy the entertainment while also learning of Truth and the deeper, layered implications of the scriptures which most times get lost translations. But no matter what, I have learned for a fact that Our Lord will meet a seeker where they’re at and give them their fill each time as they hunger after truly knowing Him and His “hearts”. After all, King Jesus came in the flesh as a Hebrew man, so being able to eat fruit from fellow believers who were born raised as Hebrews / Jews is a blessing. Fact is many Believers are of Jewish bloodlines who lost their identities when The Lord scattered them. Nonetheless, whether Jew, gentile, or an alien from another galaxy... it is written, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER believes in Him shall NOT perish but have EVERLASTING Life” So, understand that I do not seek to divide or make complicated the simplicity of the Salvation offered by The Lord and savior Jesus Christ ,but rather to indicate that Believers are more connected than they realize because of the “Grafted Tree” maintained by the merciful Hand of The Almighty. We shall recognize one another by our fruit. And P.S.
hate, dissension, and the modification of The Word is NOT of His people. More Love and Light to you who read all the way to this end💜

Walking with Yeshua through the Scriotures

This book is very insightful. The way the Rabbi explains the connections between the Old and New Testament , literally brings the Bible ( Gods" word) to life! KD

Excellent study

Cultural-historical context given to pericope/narrative is hermeneutically relevant. Interesting guests. Perfect for study.

Some Good, Some Bad

There was some good in these episodes, but they also have an off-putting Word of Faith Movement undertone that was disappointing. Are we in it for God or are we in it for what God provides me and my self-esteem?
