The New Orleans Saints could look for a veteran quarterback after the retirement of Derek Carr, but Jameis Winston isn't likely to be the guy. There's some value to adding a veteran passer behind Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler for development purposes. But it's unlikely that the New York Giants cost Jaxson Dart that same luxury with Winston, as they are likely to be displeased with what they get from Russell Wilson by mid-season.

Rattler and Shough are going to be battling it out for the starting role and Rattler deserves a real opportunity that he may not get. Meanwhile Jake Haener and Hunter Dekkers may be gridlocked for a competition for the third roster spot at the position.
