  • Have you ever gone to an NWSL quarterfinal match and sat there for almsot three hours due to extra time but all the concessions closed during the 75th minute so now you're hangry but you walk 15 minutes for burger but the kitchen ran out of food so you go across the street and wait two hours for different burger? That was our hangry experience at the Washington Spirit quarterfinal against Bay FC! Don't worry it was pretty exhilarating until the waiting for two hours part.

    This week for Pride on the Pitch we're highlighting Leicy Santos, Colombian International and midfielder for the Washington Spirit. We discuss her incredible career and advocacy work for the Colombian WNT, and her recent engagement! We have reset Pookie of the Week and it is now Pookie in Playoffs, and honor the incredible converted centerback, Tara McKeown, who scored the late game equalizer for Washington Spirit.
