It explains how the night torments the emotions and still we wake up to feel the pain of past and lost love in the middle of the night. I have always read this ghazal and particularly the sher (couplet). phir yaad bahut aa.egī zulfoñ kī ghanī shaam jab dhuup meñ saaya koī sar par na milegā Now this time lets enjoy it together.
