  • Interview with Hal Donaldson, Part 2 - Season 5, Episode 21
    Jul 24 2025

In the second episode of their conversation with Hal Donaldson, Chris Maxwell and Tracy Reynolds believe the message is just what so many in today's world need to hear. Hal knows about wounds and scars. He knows about death and poverty. He knows about health issues and overworking. He knows about busyness as a drug of choice in this modern culture. But Hal also knows God. He knows God's love deeply and he hopes to share that love to needy people. Through his personal life and now through Convoy of Hope, the world is being changed. Hal's personal story influenced his approach to leadership and humanitarian work, motivating him to dive right into the biggest challenges facing global poverty. Convoy addresses hunger not with ideas, but with action. Hear Hal's heart and you'll understand why. Read his book What Really Matters: How to Care for Yourself and Serve a Hurting World, and his many other books, and let his desire to serve a hurting world become your desire. Reach your community. Be Jesus for those nearby and far away. The world is waiting for Hal, for Convoy of Hope, and for someone like you. Don't leave the needy people alone.

  • Interview with Greg Dixon, Part 2 - Season 5, Episode 19
    Jul 10 2025

In this second conversation, Pastor Greg Dixon picks up where last week's episode ended. Chris and Tracy want you to hear these types of stories. We might pretend to be strong while deep inside wounds are impacting us. We might present powerful messages and vision and teaching sessions and songs, while our inner worlds carry the pain from past encounters. True leaders seek to be in the job that is best for them and for the people they serve. It should not be about titles. It should not be about the ladder of success. What are you passionate about? What has God placed inside your heart for the work of the kingdom? Promotion in God's kingdom looks so different that how our culture views it. Are you sitting in the chair that is best for you? Are you secure enough in Christ to sit in that chair? Greg also gives practical advice for the life of serving in ministry: Family, friends, time management, preparation, priorities, and boundaries. Look at your life and ministry to see what healthy boundaries you need to set.
