God has demonstrated His mercy and grace to a nation as a template for His people- the Body of Christ. Our understanding of His mercy and grace lived out will be the vehicle God uses for a world that needs a Savior=Jesus Christ. From growing up as Jesus hands and feet, to living in our identities as the ambassadors of Christ- God is calling His people to arise, be light and be salt. As God's people, will we heed His call or choose the ways of the world? We have a choice. "Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are His. He changes times and seasons; He deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him." (Daniel 2: 20-22).

  • Episode 77: Episode 79: The Table of Communion
    Sep 25 2024
Commemorating the Last Supper Jesus Christ had with His twelve disciples is a holy observation by millions of Christians around the world. As scriptures instruct, commemorating this special time is done with carefulness and intentionality. In 2 Corinthians 13:5 (Examine your selves to see whether you are in the faith; test your selves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?), there are elements of self-reflection, self-awareness and self- regulation to ensure the Lord’s Supper is taken with deep reverence by followers of Christ. Some Christians, also know this special time as the Eucharist, the Lord’s Table, Table of Communion or Holy Communion. The Table of Communion symbolizes Jesus ultimate sacrifice on the cross to redeem humanity from eternal separation from God. Communion is a two-way street-our communion with God and communion with each other. Before taking a listen to this podcast, we encourage you to gather your communion elements (crackers and juice) and join into take communion at the end of the podcast. As followers of Christ, everything we do is through the lenses of eternity, and elections are not different. In this episode, Drs. Johnson and Feyi Obamehinti encourage Christians to approach these upcoming elections with carefulness and do their homework. Some things for Christians to think about as they prepare themselves are: (1) Pray for everyone (2 Chronicles 7:14, Proverb 14:34, 1 Timothy 2:1-2). (2) Respect for each other – no matter if a person is red, blue, in-between or none. (3) Refuse to hop on the hatred wagon no matter who the instigating leader is. (4) Study the candidates and determine your values, belief, conscience etc. (5) Above all else, remember we are Christ’s ambassadors foremost (salt and light). “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” – 2 Chronicle 7:14

Johnson and Feyi Obamehinti encourage followers of Christ with three key lessons from the Olympics. • Episode 74: Episode 74: The Power of Forgiveness
    Apr 12 2024
The Power of Forgiveness In the past ten years we have seen the rise of antisemitism across the world. Historians have credited antisemitism as the root cause of the atrocious Holocaust against Jews. This hatred was the belief system of the Nazi ideology. The Holocaust was the systematic, government launched target, persecution, brutal mistreatment, gassing, deadly living conditions and killings of six million European Jews between 1933 and 1945 (Holocaust Encyclopedia). For many survivors of the Holocaust living through such dehumanization came at a high price for them and their families. In this special episode, Drs. Johnson and Feyi Obamehinti host Holocaust survivor Mrs. Rosian Zerner- who was born in Lithuania. In 1941, when Germany invaded their town, she and her family were confined to the Kovno concentration camp. Through the help of her parents, she was able to escape through a hole they dug under the fence of the confinement quarters. She was met by her father's secretary and hidden by several rescuers before being liberated by Soviet troops in 1944. Surviving such atrocities to live a successful life takes the power of forgiveness, grit and love, both for self and others. The Bible provides the guide on the freedom that comes through forgiveness. The medical field attests to the power of forgiveness. In a series written by John Hopkins Medicine, it states that one's health depends on forgiveness. In an article in the Harvard Medical School published in 2021, some methods of forgiveness were explored to help people overcome unforgiveness. However the Bible already provided why unforgiveness can be a self-imposed prison for anyone. Matthew 6:14 states, "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." Take a listen as Mrs. Zerner shares why she forgave her persecutors, how she was able to do that and how she has blazed a trail for peace and love around the world, speaking out about her lived experience as a Holocaust survivor. This is one episode you do not want to miss. Tell a friend, pull up a chair with your favorite tea or coffee and take a listen. "Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins" 1 Peter 4:3
