timeless classic

A timeless classic that i didn't get to read when I was in school. I am thankful that my friends suggested it.

The narrator did a great job!

I listened to this because I saw Sawer reading in Lost. It was enjoyable and the narration was great

Glad I listened

I read this in high school and, of course, didn't really appreciate it then. I decided to listen to It now as an adult and appreciated it much more. There is a lot of swearing, including blasphemy, and that bothered me, but as a work of American literature I can see why it is important. The performance was excellent, but I only gave it 4 stars because it really should have been read by a man. Almost all the characters were men, so it would have been more believable with a male reader. I think I will listen to Grapes of Wrath at some point, too.

Beautifully narrated

I listened because the book was assigned to my high schooler, and I had never read the book myself. Although the book was well written and the narrator was perfect, I didn’t love the story. I couldn’t help thinking of how the people who thought they were helping Lennie were only causing themselves and others misery, which ultimately led to tragedy.

Excellent narrator

This novella was enhanced by the talented narrator. Her voice captured the essence of the story and dialogue.
