About this listen
Air Date: Tuesday, 11 August 2020, at 4:00 PM ET/1:00 PM PT
All of August we are offering a Voice to the Dying and Grieving process. Topics people usually avoid, but that is the problem! Dying is as natural as breathing, yet we want only to lock it away and throw away the key. We pretend Death doesn’t exist and that it will never happen to us or our loved ones and when it does occur, we do not have the tools to deal with it honorably.
Today we will be discussing the grieving process and how guilt can play a significant role, tormenting those sitting in the waters of grief. To aid those who have lost a loved one, we will play a beautiful musical meditation by Canadian artist Daniella Castell, entitled ‘A Call to Honor and Forgive.’ It is a skillfully crafted, haunting melody encouraging all who listen to release stored anger, blame and hatred. Daniella writes her music in collaboration with water ways. This particular piece was inspired by a hot springs in Northern British Colombia which aided her in her own process of resolution.
