    I am loving my scooter and what it provides for my disabled divers-- but this is more about my adventure!

    Yesterday at Payette Lake was a game changer. I headed out there with one goal in mind—underwater searches for bottles and old artifacts that I’ve been hunting for a while.

    Normally, I’d be limited by how much ground I could cover manually, but this time, I brought the scooter with me, and it made all the difference.

    Once I got down there, I fired up the scooter and immediately felt the freedom. Instead of slowly kicking my way through the water and getting fatigued, I was able to glide effortlessly over the lakebed, focusing entirely on my search. The scooter allowed me to cover a much larger area than I ever could on my own, which was key in a place like Payette Lake where the water can get murky, and the terrain can stretch on for what feels like forever.

PTSD is a very real struggle for so many of our vets. Neptune warrior is a great support group centered around diving where vets can find release and positive results from the experience of diving and interaction with each other. Like so many other people who have vets with PTSD in their lives, I can't fully appreciate what they experience. It's so good to have support groups like Neptune Warrior to help us. As non-profits, they also need our support, donate if you can :-)

Learned how to dive with this group; Rob has built a phenomenal organization and family. Having conducted more than 75% of my own diving with this group, hearing these podcasts has gleaned new light into some of the psychology behind scuba diving. It's been an honor, and a privilege to participate in a few of the podcast, as well. Love you guys, I miss you all, and I look forward to diving with y'all again.
