  • The Philadelphia Phillies were BLOWN OUT by the San Francisco Giants, 11-4 Wednesday night. Both Nola and Giants’ starter Robbie Ray struggled in the opening frame throwing 74 pitches combined in the 1st inning. Nola surrendered 4 runs in the 1st, while Ray gave up two. Each pitcher walked in a run in the inning as well. By the time Nola’s night was done, he went on to allow 7 runs, 6 earned on 9 hits and 4 walks in 5.1inning of work. He drops to 0-4 on the season. Phillies’ bats didn’t help the cause either as they took had Ray on the ropes in the 1st inning, but failed to get the big hit. Both runs they scored in the first were bases loaded walks by Ray. For the second straight night, Bryce Harper gave support with a two-run homer. Harper launched his 4th homer of the season in the 4th inning and it tied the score at 4.
