The New York Mets had a 4-0 lead at one point, but some sloppy play and lack of situational hitting kept the door open for the Dodgers and led to the loss, 6-5.

The 8th inning is where things went south for New York when Brett Baty had a play at the plate to snag the tying run but a double-clutch and a bad throw let that runner score. Then, old friend Michael Conforto did his first bit of damage to push the Dodgers in front.

It was series split for the Mets, and a season series win over the Dodgers, but there is a sour taste left after a missed opportunity this afternoon.
