Please note: This show is for mature audiences only. It contains explicit language, sexual references, and adult themes. Discretion is advised. In 2003, the first ever late-night talk show hosted by a 10-year-old boy premiered live for six minutes, before it was violently pulled from the air and abruptly canceled. Its host, Donnie Dixon, hasn’t been heard from since. Past My Bedtime: An Oral History of the Fastest Failure in Late Night History is journalist Phillip Jackal’s audio documentary following his obsessive quest for the truth about what happened that ill-fated night. Can he finally uncover the truth about Donnie Dixon? Or why the government destroyed all evidence of the broadcast? After chasing this story for almost two decades, it’s finally time for Jackal to tell it. This mockumentary features an all-star cast including David Harbour, Zach Galifianakis, Whoopi Goldberg, Lennon Parham, D’Arcy Carden, Tim Robinson, Jenny Slate, Nick Kroll, Seth Meyers, Sam Richardson, John Early, Kate Berlant, Bob Balaban, Mae Whitman, Claudia O’Doherty, James Austin Johnson, and John Levenstein. Past My Bedtime: An Oral History of the Fastest Failure in Late Night History drags listeners down a satirical rabbit hole using a mix of less-than-reliable interviews, confessionals, and faux archival footage. The truth is out there, and Phillip doesn’t care how many lives he has to ruin to get the answers he wants.

Finally the mystery solved…

I remember the news snippets and rumors of a cover-up about Past My Bedtime, but I thought it was mostly exaggeration and urban legend. It’s good to have such a deeply investigated documentary finally get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearance of Donny.

I actually quite loved it

At some stage I so much believed that this was a documentary and not a mockumentary that I started researching Donnie Dixon...to no avail of course.

I just thought the narrator was brilliantly written - so out of touch with his own shortcomings, yet still lovable. Truly an enjoyable one.

One hell of a job David Harbour!! This was just a hilarious premise! I binged it in less the 24hr! It was like being a fly on the wall at a flat earthers meeting !! I would highly recommend for those who have a sense of dry humor!

Absolutely fantastic

This is a MUST listen. I binged the entire series in about 2 days. David Harbour and his performance are *chefs kiss* perfection. His dry wit and humor are unmatched. He, along with the supporting cast of characters, are easily imagined, and it is because of him. I wish his character Phil and storyline could be turned into a modern day Sherlock-type series. The cleverness of intertwining reality and fiction, as well as a past and present storyline, is not something found often. It is fully appreciated here.

The perfect running podcast

This podcast is pure fun! It kept me laughing, is full of surprises and clever callbacks. I listened while I ran and the miles flew by, didn’t want it to end.

Entertaining and rather silly

It took me a minute to get into this story, because the protagonist is a bit of a moron, but once I got used to that premise, I enjoyed the silliness of the story. The production value is h high and the cast is fantastic.

Ridiculously funny. Distressingly plausible.

This show is laugh-out-loud funny. A spot-on performance by David Harbour brings the multi-layered comedy by Leah Beckmann and Max Silvestri to life.

I didn't know what this was when I clicked on it, but it's a find. Listen now and start laughing right away at this dry-as-bone satire on the media.
