In 1972, Nancy Trotter & Sue Wells were vacationing in Stuart, Florida when they met Gerard Shaefer, who offered to give them a ride to the beach. The plan for a quick drop off turned dark and this would be the beginning of a double life unveiled. Eventually, the double murder of Susan Place & Georgia Jessup would bring justice against this monster, but sadly there were many more victims that he never had to answer for. January 1st,1991, someone came into Catherine Carroll's house and attacked her while she was asleep. She ran into the bathroom as an attempt to lock herself in but was overpowered by a monster wielding a large serrated knife. Cops thought the perpetrator was obvious but that was far from true, and it took nearly 12 years to figure it out. In 2008, 72-year-old Josef Fritzl opened his front door to find a young woman unconscious in desperate need of medical attention. With her was a note from Josef's daughter, Elisabeth Fritzl, who had been missing for 24 years. This discovery and what comes after would reveal the darkest crime I've ever heard. I warn this at the beginning: if any type of crime is a trigger for you, it's likely in this episode. Proceed with caution. The stories are always so interesting, fantastically written, and expertly presented. It’s always so fun to see Rachel and Rebecca’s commentary during the stories, making it feel like I’m chatting about crazy stories with friends more than listening to a podcast. Amazing!!

My absolute favorite podcast!

I am all about listening to my music as much as possible, and I have switched and been binging all episodes- in my car, at home, and introduced my BFF (replaced movie/TV a couple of weeks ago).

True crime, blunt responses that everyone is thinking, and they do there homework well. What more could you ask for?
