In this episode of Why Wars Happened History Podcast, we go back into the aftermath of Bacon's Rebellion. The king sends investigators to Virginia only to find the colony in near ruin. Governor Berkeley is in full revenge mode, undoing rebellion reforms, targeting opposition, and ignoring the king's orders to stop.

Berkeley faces off with the king's men, who declare all communications must be in writing after a heated meeting between them. The king's fury at the governor for ignoring his orders to stop his revenge on the colonists grows, and the people see the king's men as their last hope.
