WHAT DOES THIS MEAN: The election is exactly 3 months today and by all stretches its not a close race. The vast majority of polls have Biden in a double-digit lead and believe Trump is too far behind to make up the distance especially with early voting. For starts, there is COVID, which is unprecedented in its time and has more than likely hurt President Trump a lot. It is very easy to blame the President for how COVID has affected the country and its very easy to say if you were President things would be different. The reality of the situation the virus is greater than one person or position and more than fair to say whoever was President or whatever party was in control the country would still have massive COVID issues. But that doesn’t matter to voters. Because whoever is in charge will always get blamed. And unless the virus goes away, President Trump's handling of it will definitely be criticized.

Then the voter can go down the line and pick things they don’t like about Trump. Whether it’s his twitter account, what he says, his handling of the protestor, and even the most recent, talking about delaying the election. Which was instantly met with rejection from both sides. But with some 90 days left, Trump isn’t doing well and his final stand which may be the debates against Joe Biden might be too little too late. And that is Trump’s problem, his strongest asset at this point is to debate Biden one on one. But with early voting, that could derail Trump’s final stand.

There are still some 90 days to go and in 2020 we have seen that a new month brings on something different and it would be foolish to declare a winner. There is still a lot of time left but it’s possible the race may already be over with early voting.
