In this episode of Real Talk on Wellness, Laura Timbrook and Sarah A.O. Isenberg share a candid chat about the real messiness of human health—far from the neat Pinterest board lives we might imagine for our clients. They offer grounded, practical strategies for health coaches to help real people make sustainable changes, because not everyone's life is a curated collection of wellness highlights.

    About Sarah:
I’m a Nationally Board-Certified Health Coach and Certified Personal Trainer who’s worked for the last 13 years helping women find their mojo . . . whether it’s been weight loss, food freedom, a combo of the two, the courage and know-how to strength train, find their way in the kitchen, balance a Big Job with a million responsibilities outside of work, find their way back after cancer treatment . . . Bottom line: My passion is empowering women to take charge of their health and wellness.

I’m also a 55-year old woman who struggled with her weight and body image her whole life. I was raised by role models who obsessively dieted, doing things like eating 700 calories/day, losing hair, getting (understandably) crabby - all in the name of becoming smaller.

It took me a long time to unwind that diet mentality and to understand that, in most cases, health and wellness are not born from extreme behaviors. I love to educate and empower women to learn what’s sustainable for them, individually, find their food freedom, and to step off the diet/no-diet merry-go-round for good.

Being a health coach was never in my plans, but my passion to help others find joy and peace with food and their bodies brought me here. Coach with me and discover a plan tailored JUST FOR YOU, without using any “potions, powders, or pills.” Together, we can find your wellness “sweet spot,” where you feel good in your own skin, your body is functioning in a healthy way, and you can maintain without being too restrictive, over-exercising, or sacrificing important time with friends and family.
