  • Texas Floods July 4, 2025
    Jul 12 2025

This devastating flood happened over the 4th of July weekend 2025, with heavy rains dropping up to 20 inches in some spots. The National Weather Service issued multiple timely warnings—Flash Flood Watches, Warnings, and even a Flash Flood Emergency, which is their highest alert for life-threatening flooding.

The Guadalupe River rose incredibly fast—reports say it surged 25 feet in just 45 minutes, mostly overnight around 3 to 4 a.m., catching many people off guard while they were sleeping. That sudden rise is why the flood was so deadly, overwhelming campsites and homes with little time to react. Lives were lost, and families were forever changed.
