Rock Bottom Syndicate is my community of friends who, after having hit rock bottom, discovered that being of service to help others has a surprising side effect. We get better. We make better decisions. We learn to live strong, joyous lives.

About Annie Pateman:

My name is Annie Pateman and I live in Australia. I have just had my new book called The Strength Within, published. 

It took 11 years to get it to this point. So perseverance and commitment is the key. I am a 3 times cancer survivor, about to celebrate my 40th anniversary of diagnosis as at 1st April 1980. 

It is a memoir of my story which includes my diagnosis and thereafter but does not dwell on the disease but how I overcame it and the strategies I used. 

It is a story of overcoming challenges, adversity and building resilience with a dash of humor and historical events, that I lived through, understanding all the while, there is always hope at the light at the end of the tunnel and I was going to survive.
